Write to your MP

A personal letter from a constituent is one of the most effective ways to influence parliamentary debate. Use our template to make your voice heard.

Why writing to your MP matters

MPs are elected to represent the views of their constituents. A personalised letter carries significantly more weight than a petition signature or a form email — it requires a formal response and is logged as a constituent concern.

The HVCTS consultation and Finance Bill stages are the critical windows during which parliamentary pressure can change or halt this legislation. The more MPs who raise concerns in the chamber, the greater the chance of the Government reconsidering.
